Hello Carol,
On behalf of the Brookline Commission for the Arts, I am pleased to let you know that the Town Hall Walls subcommittee reviewed your application and your pieces were selected for exhibition.

I will be in touch closer to the dates of the show to make arrangements for you to install the work. For this exhibition, you are responsible for the installation and labeling/signage, but a representative from the Arts Commission will be on hand to facilitate and help out. The  display space is approximately 18' feet and there is a hanging system in place. Large, heavy work should be wired on the back so we can use the hanging system. Smaller pieces, if light, can be installed by resting on sturdy metal push pins.

I am sure you'll have questions, so please just drop me a line. Again, congratulations!

Best,
Brenda Sullivan

DURANT AVENUE BAG

While living in Berkeley, California I looked out the window at a beautiful sunset. I wanted to draw the view. The first piece of paper I found was a brown paper bag. I drew as fast as I could. When I finished, I opened up the bag and it stood there -a 3 dimensional object.....surprise !
